Dr. Vaughan's love of "sleep work" began while on fellowship at Children's Medical Center Dallas/UT Southwestern Medical School. After attending a grand rounds presentation by a notable sleep doctor, she was hooked. To be able to lift the burden of insomnia from people who had been struggling for a lifetime (and to be able to do it effectively with lasting results)--this was amazing stuff. She put in the clinical hours, studied for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine's board exam, and became a Certified Behavioral Sleep Medicine Specialist (CBSM).
Dr. Vaughan's practice is focused on the delivery of evidence-based, targeted intervention to stressed-out, high-performing, anxiety-ridden individuals (you know who you are!) who are sick of their insomnia and who are ready to re-experience the quality of life they once enjoyed.
In addition to her work with adult sleep and anxiety disorders, Dr. Vaughan draws from her background in pediatric health psychology to help assess and treat children with sleep issues, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. To learn more about pediatric services, click here.
